Special Recognition to Our Athletes!
We would like to extend a heartfelt congratulations to our athletes who took on the challenge of competing in age groups above their own. Stepping up against older and more experienced competitors is no easy task, but the boys showed courage and sportsmanship with three U15 boys making up the U/16 4x 1500m relay which finished 2nd.
SQUASH
Congratulations to Isaac Allott who has been selected to represent Zimbabwe in the upcoming South Africa championships. We wish him well.
TENNIS
Vs. Petra in the Mim du toit Cup Quarter Final
- Peterhouse 1st team drew 6 – 6 against Petra
- Peterhouse won 13 –12 on sets.
TRIATHLON
2025 Bonaqua Africa Triathlon Cup and Multisport Festival
Congratulations to our boys who took part at the 2025 Bonaqua Africa Triathlon Cup and Multisport Festival held at Troutbeck over the weekend where they entered the Open Water Swimming and Triathlon competition. Results were as follows;
Open Water Swimming
Connor Grist – entered the 5km event. Finished 1st (16 – 18 age group) in a time of 1hr 10 minutes, which translates to 14 minutes per km
Braden Amm – entered the 3km event. Finished 1st (16 – 18 age group)
Callum Chisholm entered the 1.5km event. Finished 1st.
Aden Collett entered 3 races, the off-road triathlon and the Aquathlon team race. He won 2 gold and 1 silver medals.
CULTURAL ACTIVITIES
DEBATE
Vs Watershed
- Juniors: Watershed won 65%, to Peterhouse’s 60%. Blessing Chakumhara was the Second Best Speaker with 71%.
- Intermediates: PHB won 68%, to Watershed’s 64%. Adrian Mudekunye was the Best Speaker with 69% and Kudakwashe Chifamba was the Second Best Speaker with 67%.
- Seniors: PH won 62%, to Watershed’s 59%. Tawanda Gusha was the Best Speaker with 74%

Interhouse Debate Preliminary Rounds
Intermediates:
- Ellis won with 75%, to Grinham’s 73%.
- Malvern won with 80%, to Founders’s 61%.
- Paget won with 74%, to Snell’s 69%.

- Grinham won with 75%, to Ellis’s 62%.
- Malvern won with 72%, to Founders’s 64%.
- Paget won with 71%, to Snell’s 68%

WORLD SCHOLARS’ CUP –Regional Round
On Friday, February 28, 2025, Peterhouse brought together students for a day of intellectual competition and teamwork. The event featured two main activities: Team Debate and the Scholar’s Bowl. They debated pre-assigned motions on ‘Reigniting the Future’, teaching scholars to develop well-reasoned arguments and adapt to different perspectives.
The Scholar’s Bowl was a fast-paced, team-based quiz which became more challenging, requiring teams to think quickly and strategise answers effectively.
MODEL UNITED NATIONS Conference
The Zimbabwe Model United Nations conference took place under the theme; ‘The cost of innovation: Navigating the ethical responsibilities of Technological Advancements and Societal Change for Inclusive, Sustainable Development in a Globalised World.’
Attended by more than 200 delegates, candidates debated global issues to enhance diplomatic skill, which concluded with a closing ceremony recognizing outstanding delegates.
