CULTURAL ACTIVITIES

DEBATE
An internal debate vs PHG was held on the 4 of July. Results were as follows:
Intermediates: PHG won 63% v PHB – 57%.
Juniors: PHB won 65% v PHG – 63%.
Kudakwashe Chifamba was Runner-Up Speaker with 68%, and Adrian Mudekunye was Third Best Speaker with 67%.
Idai Mapuvire and Kundai Dzwairo ably adjudicated with two senior girls.

NIAA – Speech & Drama Festival
Well done to the drama pupils who took part in this year’s NIAA Speech & Drama festival. Peterhouse presented a variety of poetry, prose, dramatic monologues, duologues, mime, improvisation and Shakespeare.
Congratulations to Liam Kirkman for attaining an Honours for his monologue piece. Additionally, PHB attained 18 First Grades and 17 Second Grade +.

CHESS
Was played against Bernard Mizeki College on the 4th of July, with the following results:
Juniors lost 1-5
Well done to Kaden Hahn who managed to post a win against a very competitive side on Board 4
Seniors lost 2½ – 3½
Well done to Tomupei Gurupira and Takudzwa Moga who both won their matches, whilst Alex Ferreira came away with a draw on Board 1
