BOOK READING
Evening with Famous Zimbabwean Author, Mr. Benjamin Sibanda
On Thursday the 16th, famous Zimbabwean author Mr Benjamin Sibanda met with the senior literature classes to discuss his writing with them. This was a small but formal event where the 5th and 6th forms got to ask an author about the writing process. At the same time, we were treated to some of Mr Sibanda’s short stories read out aloud by a professional reader. One of our pupils also read a short story to the group.
If you have the time, please take out one of his three books in the library. His books are all about Zimbabwe and offer a strangely humorous but realistic perspective of our life here, told by a master storyteller. Thanks to Mrs de Kock for organising this event.
