It was another busy and successful week of sport for Peterhouse Girls, with teams competing in soccer, basketball, hockey and horse riding. There were several impressive performances across the weekend, highlighted by strong hockey results and an individual award in equestrian sport.

Soccer

  • U14 drew 2–2
  • U16 won 3–0
  • 3rd Team drew 0–0

Saturday 4 July | A League vs Girls College

Peterhouse Girls produced an outstanding set of results against Girls College, recording victories across every age group.

Horse Riding

Sunday 5 July | Arlington

Congratulations to Kelsey Pelham and her horse, Silver, who were awarded the trophy for the horse showing the most promise in its first season of eventing for 2026.

Kelsey also achieved excellent results in the Three-Phase competition:

  • Silver (80cm) – 3rd Place
  • Going Easy (90cm) – 3rd Place

Debate

International Debate Tournament

From Friday 3 July to Monday 6 July 2026, Shiloh Deetlefs represented the Zimbabwe Debate Team at the Thistle Cup World Schools Debating Championship (WSDC).

Competing against 103 teams from around the world, Shiloh was awarded Runner-up Best Speaker, finishing as the highest-ranked Zimbabwean speaker and earning recognition as the second-best open debater in the world for the 2026 season.

In an outstanding achievement, the Zimbabwe Debate Team finished first overall, securing the title of World Champions in the World Schools Debate circuit until the commencement of the 2027 season.
