Sunday 21st September
PHG competed at the St George’s Regatta held at Mazowe Dam, with some excellent results:
- D Single Scull – 1st place: Holly Kruger
- D Quadruple Scull – 1st place: Tawananyasha Tungamirai, Michaela Kakoma, Adiwa Hove, Natalie Ferreira, coxed by Holly Kruger
- C Single Scull – 1st place: Tatenda Watyoka
- C Quadruple Scull – 1st place: Holly Kruger, Tatenda Watyoka, Tawananyasha Tungamirai, Michaela Kakoma, coxed by Natalie Ferreira
Archery
Sunday 21st September
- PHG A Team placed 7th
- PHG B Team placed 15th out of 15 teams
- In the girls’ individual competition:
- Blaise Fouché finished 6th
- Margaret Songore finished 7th
Waterpolo
Friday 26th – Saturday 27th September
At the U19 Players Trophy hosted by CBC, PHG showed great determination:
- 1st Round:
- vs Falcon – Lost 3-6
- vs Girls College – Won 8-4
- vs Hellenic – Lost 4-8
- vs Chisipite – Lost 1-7
- 2nd Round:
- vs Chisipite – Lost 3-7
- vs Falcon – Lost 6-7
- vs Girls College – Won 4-2
- vs Hellenic – Lost 1-4
- vs Chisipite – Narrow loss 4-5
Despite the tough competition, there were huge improvements from these young players across the tournament.
Tennis
Friday 26th – Sunday 28th September
At the Melbury Cup:
- A Section (1st Team): finished 3rd out of 8, winning 2 out of 3 matches.
- B Section (2nd Team): also finished 3rd out of 8, with 2 wins from 3 matches.
Athletics
Saturday 27th September
At the Aquelle SACSSA Track & Field Championships in Pietermaritzburg, Mandisa Mucheke represented PHG with outstanding results:
- Discus: 1st Place with a throw of 29.64m
- Shotput: 1st Place with a throw of 9.96m
CULTURE RESULTS
Bridge
PHG competed in a series of fixtures with the following results:
- vs Prince Edward – A team lost 8–9, B team lost 5–9, overall 13–18
- vs PHB – A team lost 14–17, B team lost 12–13, overall 26–30
- vs St John’s College – A team lost 1–13, B team lost 6–13, overall 7–26
Debate
vs St George’s
- Juniors: PHG won 68%–67%, with Amani Dengwani named Best Speaker (71%).
- Intermediates: PHG won 69%–67%, with Danielle Mashumba named Best Speaker (72%).
Interact
Thursday 18th September
The Interact Club visited Ida Wekwako Old People’s Home, where members donated sugar, served drinks and scones, and shared uplifting singing and prayer. The residents expressed heartfelt gratitude to PHG and PHB pupils for supporting the club’s fundraising efforts.
Sunday 21st September
PHG Interact also hosted the Marondera Rotary Club Annual Training Workshop for district schools. The event welcomed 142 delegates from 8 schools, fostering collaboration and learning across the community.

Congratulations to the following girls who were awarded the Musician of the Year Cup:

Overall, PHG won 4 cups, with PHB winning 2.
