Gigi Nyambirai took part in this year’s Regeneron International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF) held from the 10th-16th of May 2025, in Columbus, Ohio, USA. The Regeneron ISEF is the world’s biggest pre-university science competition. Her project was in the Systems software category entitled “The Bacteriophage Initiative – Harnessing the Power of Bio mimicry to Replicate Nature’s Defenders and Revolutionize Cyber security against Digital Threats”
She received a Full Scholarship to King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals (KFUPM) and a $400 cash prize sponsored by Mawhiba- King Abdulaziz and his Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity. Mawhiba is a non-profit foundation in Saudi Arabia dedicated to fostering a culture of creativity. The Foundation motivates young people around the world to explore innovative methods in diverse fields of study.
