CHESS

St John’s Tournament

Juniors placed 7th out of 16 schools.
Seniors placed 2nd out of 9 schools and were awarded silver medals.

Special mention goes to Tafara Mutsaro, who was named Best Player on Board 1.


FRENCH CLUB

Friday 20th March

The French choir participated in the French Schools Singing Competition, organised by the French School of Harare during Francophone Week 2026.

Congratulations to Peterhouse Girls for finishing 1st out of 27 schools.


MODEL UNITED NATIONS (MUN)

Ten MUN girls attended the Yale Model African Union Conference VI hosted by Yale University. The conference provided a valuable platform to engage with peers from across Africa and connect with university representatives.

Panel sessions were a highlight, offering insightful discussions and showcasing the potential of Africa’s youth.

The girls also visited the Kwame Nkrumah Museum, gaining a deeper appreciation of African history and heritage.

A special congratulations to Leona Marimira, who was awarded Honourable Delegate.


HAMUN (HELLENIC MODEL UNITED NATIONS)

Thursday 19th – Saturday 21st March

13 girls participated under the theme “Reimagining Global Security and Order.”

A national diplomat emphasised that peace is not the absence of war, but the presence of justice.

Congratulations to Leanne Zivanayi, who was awarded Best Chair.


PASTIS

18th March

PHG hosted a motivational rally with students from Arundel, Prince Edward and Marondera, focusing on empathy and social awareness.

Ms Shamu spoke on impostor syndrome, sharing practical strategies for building confidence and self-awareness.
