Our PHG Table Tennis team played against the Harare International School and the results were:

WATERPOLO
U19 PLAYERS TOURNAMENT
The 1st Water polo Team played in the Players Tournament and the results were:
Vs Hellenic lost 1-14
Vs invitational Team lost 1-10
Vs Chisi lost 2-14
Vs GC won 9-5
Vs Falcon lost 6-10
Vs GC lost 9-10
PHG came 6th out of the 6 teams.

At the tournament the Zimbabwe U19 Water polo teams were selected – Ayva Kirkman was selected as a Non-Traveling Reserve.

VOLLEYBALL
PHG 1ST TEAM VS WISE OWL HRE
The 1st Volleyball team played against Harare Wise Owl and won 2-0.

SWIMMING
FINALS RELAYS GALA
The PHG School swimming team came 2nd at the Finals Relays Gala held at Hellenic over the weekend. The results were:

  4. Girls College – 967 pts
  5. Falcon – 919 pts

The U14 girls water polo team travelled to play friendly matches in Harare. The results were as follows:

The Rowing Team took part in the St George’s Regatta on Sunday and there were some pleasing results:

PHG A team placed fifth with 1,068/1,200 points.

Musician of the year
On the 19th of September, the Peterhouse music department hosted their annual
musician of the year competition. This competition offers our talented musicians an
opportunity to compete for three music trophies awarded to the best musician in
three categories; Junior (D and C), Intermediate (B and A), and Senior (5th and 6th
form), in singing and instrumental.

This year’s competition saw 21 musicians from PHB and PHG competing for
the three vocal and three instrumental awards. The results were as follows:

Junior Musician of the year: 1st place
Michael Koen- D block (PHB) – Instrumental
Shannon Gumbo- D block (PHG) – Vocal

Intermediate Musician of the year: 1st place
Kaystone Hlongwane- B block (PHB) – Instrumental
Keren Brits- B block (PHG) – Vocal

Senior Musician of the year: 1st place
Naledi Taundi- 5th form (PHG) – Instrumental
Aneni Chigwedere- 5th form (PHG) – Vocal
