FROM: THE HEADMISTRESS
Dear Parents and Guardians
We are inching our way towards the end of the long winter term, and we can sense a collective sigh of relief
resonating throughout the school. It has been a challenging period for both pupils and teachers, but together,
we have persevered. We are immensely proud of the resilience and determination displayed by our
community.
With the mock exams now behind us, it is time to reflect and plan for the remainder of the year. The results
of the exams will soon be available, and we encourage you to take the time to review them with your
daughter. These results serve as valuable feedback to help them identify areas of strength and areas where
improvement is needed. As they continue their journey to the finals, they are encouraged to maintain the
momentum that has been created by this exam season in their endeavours to finish with their personal bests.
For our B Block girls, the recent exams have provided a glimpse into the expectations that lie ahead. We
encourage them to use the feedback they have received wisely, as it will guide their preparations towards
their exams in 2025. Similarly, we extend the same advice to them as to our post-mock-exam candidates.
On a social note, we eagerly anticipate the upcoming House Braais, where family will gather to enjoy a
delightful afternoon of food, conversation, and camaraderie. It is the perfect opportunity to connect with
fellow parents, build friendships, and strengthen the bonds within our school community. We look forward
to seeing you there!
At the end of the term, in support of Springvale House’s 40th anniversary, we will be hosting 104 girls from
across the country for the Inter-Provincial U13 Hockey Tournament. We are thrilled to share in this
momentous year with Springvale House and are delighted to be a part of their celebration.
That’s all from me and I wish you all a wonderful weekend with your families. And may the peace of Christ,
which surpasses all understanding, guard you and keep you and bring you all back safely.
Yours sincerely
Mrs Claire Hough
Headmistress
