FROM: THE HEADMISTRESS
Thursday 10th April 2025
Dear Parents and Guardians,
As the term comes to an end, it is time to reflect on what has been a wonderfully fulfilling and successful
few months. I am grateful to our girls for their hard work and dedication throughout this term, and to their
teachers, for their commitment and care. As the holidays begin, I would like to acknowledge some
outstanding achievements:
First, to our musicians who have once again showcased their talent at the NIAA Eisteddfod. Their
performances, alongside the tireless efforts of the Music Department staff, deserve our praise. A special
mention to Mr. Milupi Imbula, whose grace and composure amidst the challenges of the Eisteddfod are
commendable. Music holds a universal charm. How fortunate we are to have such skilled teachers who are
committed to passing on their expertise to the next generation—a lasting legacy from our school’s music
team.
Second, to our girls who have excelled in various sporting and cultural fields, their achievements have been
consistently pleasing. Whether competing in academics, music, cultural activities, or sports, our girls proudly
represent Peterhouse Girls. This term’s accomplishments have raised the school’s name high, and I couldn’t
be prouder of everyone involved.
For our senior girls, the upcoming holiday is a crucial time to focus on their studies and prepare for the mock
examinations next term. It’s equally important for all pupils to take time to rest and gather the energy needed
for the demanding term ahead.
Finally, a note about next term’s calendar as there have been some adjustments to the schedule. Boarders will
now return to school on Sunday, 11th May. Other notable dates include the Tatanga Camp, set for
Saturday, 17th May, and the D Block History trip, which will begin on Sunday, 25th May, to Wednesday,
28th May.
It remains for me to wish you a blessed and peaceful Easter break with your daughters. What a good time to
contemplate the most important event in the Christian calendar, the death and resurrection of God’s son. He
came to give us life and life in abundance. May I take the time to wish you an abundant, fun-filled holiday
break with your families.
Kind Regards
Mrs Claire Hough
Headmistress
