FROM: THE HEADMISTRESS
Dear Parents and Guardians
It is with a sense of accomplishment that we look back on another term of success at Peterhouse Girls. Well
done to our girls and teachers for their efforts and thank you to all the parents for their support throughout all
we have done. Whether it is academics, music, culture or sport, our girls have given their all.
At the Eisteddfod our girls achieved outstanding results which is testimony to a dedicated Music Department
lead by Mr Milupi Imbula.
We also have had a very satisfying athletics season winning at Lomagundi and of course at our own Inter
schools relays event. It demonstrates the depth of talent that abounds in our school. My thanks go to the
Sports Department for their discipline and dedication.
The Tatanga camping weekend once again gave evidence of the fickle weather in Marondera, but I hope that
the welcome at Peterhouse is always warm. For our D Block families, this was your induction into our
community and may it be the beginning of many more such gatherings. My thanks to Mrs Shelley Kaschula
and her team of prefects for organizing it.
Last Sunday Peterhouse Girls hosted the 2024 Petrean AGM and Sports Day. It was a wonderful opportunity
for us to show off our sporting facilities, especially the Astro Turf and its newly built supporters pavilion.
The girls made themselves and all Petreans proud in the way they conducted themselves on and off the sports
field and we were honoured to host and welcome so many Petreans back ‘home’.
To finish off I would like to wish you all a very happy Easter holiday and leave you with a quote by Allie
Beth Stuckey as a reminder of the reason we are celebrating:
“God sent Jesus, His only Son, to die on behalf of sinners, paying our debt and wiping our slate clean. By
grace, through the free gift of faith we can be reconciled to a holy God, become His children, and live forever
with Him. In Christ and Christ alone do we find salvation, joy, and the peace for which we long.”
May you all have a joy-filled holiday.
Kind Regards
Mrs Claire Hough
Headmistress
