SPORTS AND CULTURAL RESULTS
Archery
- PHB Archery participated in an interschool tournament held at Chisipite Junior School. The PHB A team won the game with a score of 1,105/1,200, one point ahead of the second-placed team.
- Musa Kurenzvi placed second in the individual competition, scoring 290/300. Vuso Mlambo, Matthew Gratwicke, and Kaden Hahn placed 4th, 7th, and 9th, respectively.
- Congratulations to the following boys, who have been selected based on their achievements in interschool tournaments and other shoots. Several boys have been chosen for the national schools’ Archery team, which will be travelling to Namibia in August for a regional competition against teams from South Africa, Botswana, Namibia, and Zambia: Musa Kurenzvi, Matthew Gratwicke, Vuso Mlambo, Kaden Hahn, Riaan Bezuidenhout, Christiano Uriri, and Garth Walraven. We wish them all the best.

- Congratulations to all the teams that played on Saturday. Rugby was the winner at the end of the day. Standout players for the Kings were Bryce Van der Westhuizen (man of the match), Reece Grant, and Andrew Maringa. Shaun Ndowa and Jack Bicknell led the team well.

SQUASH
PHB Squash teams played mid-week matches during the last couple of weeks, and the summary of results is as follows:
- PHB C and D vs. Eaglesvale A and B: Both won 4–1.
- PHB B and C vs. Arundel A and B: Won 3–2 and 5–0, respectively.
- PHB vs. SJC: The A team lost 2–3, the B team lost 1–4, and the C team lost 2–3 in closely contested matches.
Following the March Zimbabwe Junior Closed Squash tournaments, three boys were selected to play for Zimbabwe in their respective age groups. They will be travelling to South Africa between June 14 and 18 to participate in the Inter-Provincial tournament:

- vs. Watershed – Thursday, May 30Juniors won 5-1.
- Ethan Hinds, Kaden Hahn, Tinotenda Gurupira, Tapiwa Gambiza, and Tavonga Vhiya were Victorious players.
- Seniors won 4.5-1.5.
- Taonga Muhwandavaka, Takudzwa Moga, Elijah Mupangavanhu, and Tadiwa Paraffin were Victorious players. Timothy Bowker drew his game.
DEBATE
- vs. Convent – Tuesday, May 28: The combined PHG and PHB teams lost 78% to Convent’s 80%.
- Form 1’s only team lost with 59% to Convent’s 64%.
- Best Speaker: Caleb Mashungu (68%).
- Second Best Speaker: Isheanesu Mutevhe (60%).

Arundel Hackathon – Saturday, June 1
- The boys performed well in the competition. Initially separated by 1 point from deserving winners Wise Owl, the final adjudication results were as follows:

BRIDGE
- vs. Convent & PHG – Tuesday, May 28PHB came second in the 3-way match. Well done to the players.
- Interschools Bridge – Sunday, June 2, at St John B Room consisted of David Mahofa and Vusomuzi Mlambo. They played five matches: won 3, lost 2.
- Won against Arundel by 14.7 points.
- Won against PHG by 2.92 points.
- Won against PE by 1.98 points.
- Lost against Dominican Convent by 5.5 points.
- Lost against St John’s College by 10.08 points.
- Overall, in the B Room, PHB came third.
