BACKYARD ULTRA – GOSHO PARK

Matthew Donald took part in the backyard ultra held in Gosho Park. The competition consisted of a track of 6.67km. Competitors are to finish the track within the hour. Failure to do that sees them knocked out. Matthew ran a staggering 12 laps of the Backyard Ultra, he competed from 9am until just before 9pm and running a total of 80.4km.

Matthew came 4th overall and was the overall U19 winner

CRICKET
1st XI vs. Petreans

Peterhouse 1st XI claimed a solid 4-wicket victory over the Petreans in a competitive encounter.

Batting first, the Petreans were bowled out for 186. The Peterhouse bowlers showed great discipline, with Nicholas Orphanides taking 4/29 and Panashe Fantiso also impressing with 4/46.

In reply, Peterhouse chased down the target with composure, reaching 191/6. The standout performer was the captain Tyler Chapman, who anchored the innings with a superb 106, supported well by Isaac Allott with 46.

SWIMMING

Congratulations to Connor Grist who has been chosen to represent Zimbabwe at the Open Water World championships in July 2025. Connor will be swimming 5km. We wish him the best as he prepares.

Peterhouse Model United Nations Conference

The theme was: “Global Governance in Action: Strengthening Institutions for a More Secure and Equitable Future.” Discussions spanned healthcare, human rights, crime prevention, and governance, with resolutions focusing on practical solutions to global challenges.
