CRICKET
During the holidays the 1st XI cricket side participated in the inaugural St Georges T20 Smashing Cricket tournament. In the build up to the tournament the team played warm up games at Peterhouse against Lomagundi, Hellenic and Falcon. Being the defending champions of the tournament there was a huge weight of expectation upon the team, but the players acquitted themselves well and stood up under incredible pressure to go on to successfully defend their title by winning the final against Hellenic in a Super over.

In the super over Peterhouse batted first and Campbell Macmillan scored 27 runs. Hellenic could only manage 14 runs which meant that Peterhouse won the final and retained the St Georges T20 Smashing Cricket trophy.

TENNIS TOUR TO SUN CITY SOUTH AFRICA
Our Peterhouse Senior Tennis Boys travelled to Sun City in South Africa for a Tennis tournament.
We managed to field two teams for the tournament which comprised of:

Junior High School Bass Tournament – Tokwe Classic
Well done to the following boys who to park in the Tokwe Classic held over the 2nd and 3rd of September where the junior anglers competed with the adults. Harry Orphanides, Nick Orphanides, David Bailey, Cameron Rae and Ahyan Isamil.
Special mention goes to Harry Orphanides who won the junior age group and finished 2nd overall versus the adults. A Junior National team will be announced in due course.

DEBATE
From the 8th to the 9th of September, PHB debated in the gruelling CBZ Debate Tournament hosted by Dominican Convent Harare. Results are as follows:
Seniors: Lost to Dominican Convent in the semi-finals and were ranked 4th out of 14 teams
Juniors
Lost to Dominican Convent in the semi-finals and were ranked 3rd out of 10 junior debaters, and 7th out of 24 overall.
Tawanda Gusha was one of the top junior speakers ranking 5 out of 27 junior speakers and 16 out of 38 overall. The Juniors, being Runners-Up, won US$500-00.

INTERACT
Due to your charitable contributions toward Interact fund raisers, the club managed to pay US$900 towards school fees for orphaned and vulnerable children at St Francis School.
Furthermore, Interact Club organized the donation of 113 books to Chitepo Secondary School in Marondera. The books were discarded from the two schools’ libraries, but were in very good condition. Two other schools will benefit from the book donation programme in due course.
