PASTIS
Discussion with Prince Edward School
On 23 September, members of PASTIS met with pupils from Prince Edward School to discuss some of the significant issues shaping the daily lives of young people, including gender inequality, academic pressure and social media.
The discussion around gender equity prompted lively debate, with pupils ultimately recognising the importance of addressing the inequalities and injustices faced by women around the world.
When the conversation turned to academic pressure, pupils reflected on the expectations placed upon them and acknowledged that high parental expectations often stem from a desire to see their children succeed.
The session provided a valuable opportunity for pupils from both schools to exchange perspectives, engage thoughtfully with challenging topics and listen to differing points of view.
