It was another busy week of sport for Peterhouse Boys, with rugby, hockey and soccer teams all in action. Across the various age groups there were a number of outstanding performances, including an impressive First XV rugby victory over St John’s College and a strong showing from the soccer teams against Watershed.

Cultural Activities

Peterhouse Model United Nations Conference

17–18 July | Peterhouse Boys

The Peterhouse Model United Nations (PHMUN) Club successfully hosted its annual conference, welcoming 130 delegates from five schools for two days of engaging debate and diplomacy.

The conference opened with an inspiring keynote address by Ambassador Chikanda under the theme:

“Redefining Global Security in the 21st Century.”

Following a series of high-level committee debates, the following pupils were recognised for their outstanding performances:

  • Mishael Marongwe – Best Chair Award
  • Tanaka Chiromo – Best Position Paper (Security Council)
  • Zviito Nhemachena – Most Honourable Delegate (Social, Humanitarian and Cultural Committee)

Special thanks go to Kodzero Chinhara, the Peterhouse Secretariat and Mr Chavunduka for organising and delivering a highly successful conference.

Debate

vs Peterhouse Girls – Tuesday 14 July

Peterhouse Boys and Peterhouse Girls contested a closely fought debating fixture across the junior, intermediate and senior divisions.

  • Juniors: PHB lost (63%) to PHG (67%)
  • Intermediates: PHB won (83%) to PHG (82%)
  • Seniors: Draw (72% each)

Individual Honours

  • Tawananyasha Mushaninga – Best Speaker (84%)
  • Melubuhle Zikhali – Third Best Speaker (70%)
  • Adrian Mudekunye – Best Senior Speaker (76%)

Music Soirée
