Dear Parents and Guardians
As half-term arrives, we’re reminded that time flies when we’re having fun! The past fortnight has been quite
chilly here at Peterhouse, so this break is a welcome respite for everyone. I’m sure the girls are eagerly
anticipating quality time with family and friends, recharging their batteries, and enjoying some well-deserved
relaxation.
Yesterday evening, we had the delight of hosting talented young musicians from Trident College in Zambia,
who travelled a considerable distance to share their passion for classical music with us. We’re deeply grateful
for their enthusiasm and appreciate the friendships that have blossomed as a result. Their performance was a
testament to the universal language of music and its power to unite us.
As we look toward the end of term, we’re excited to host the annual Golden and Silver Girls Hockey
Tournament. This event promises to be an action-packed experience for all participants. To ensure its success,
we’ll require the assistance of some of our younger hockey players. A letter from the Sports Director outlines
the details for those involved. This information is in the sports section of this newsletter. Please take a
moment to review it and see if your daughter will be involved in the running of this event.
Upon our return next week, pupils from B Block to VIth Form will be sitting their mid-term examinations.
While these exams can bring a degree of anxiety, it’s essential to remember their purpose: they provide
valuable feedback regarding what our girls have learned, what needs more focus, and what they’ve already
mastered. These mock examinations will enable our girls and teachers to identify areas for improvement in
order to make the most of the final push to the end of the year.
As we head into the weekend, I wish you all a wonderful time with your families. May the peace of Christ,
which surpasses all understanding, guard you, keep you, and bring you all back safely.
Kind Regards
Mrs Claire Hough
Headmistress
