Interschools – hosted by Emmanuel College at the ZRP Course in Gunhill, Harare
A total of 15 Schools participated in the biggest competition to date. Peterhouse Boys fielded 3 players in the Championship Division for Handicaps Zero to Twelve.
Peterhouse was 4th out of 7 Schools in this Division. Felix Machado was placed 12th out of 25 players. In the A-Division for players with Handicaps 13 to 24, Peterhouse Boys was 2nd out of 8 Schools.
- Kelvin Chiperesa was 6th out of 30 players.
- Christian Borerwe and Tendayi Ruwona were tied 7th out of 30 players.
- Tendayi Ruwona was awarded a medal and trophy for “Nearest to the pin”

Interschools Bridge Competition – Sunday 8 June (PHG)
A Room:
- PHB won by 16 points against Arundel; won by 12 points against PHG; won by 20 points against Wise Owl; and won by 17 points against Watershed College.
- PHB lost by 16 points to St John’s College; and lost by 18 points to Prince Edward School.
- PHB came third in the A Room.
B Room:
- PHB won by 10 points against St John’s College; and won by 10 points against Watershed College.
- PHB lost by 10 points against Arundel; lost by 14 points against Peterhouse Girls; lost by 8 points against Dominican Convent; and lost by 6 points against Prince Edward School.
- PHB came sixth in the B Room.
Overall PHB came third out of 8 schools.
CHESS
Friday 6th June vs Falcon College
Peterhouse won 6-3
Special mention goes to Ethan Hinds and Joshua Tanser who were outstanding on boards 1 and 3 respectively.
Tuesday 3rd June vs Arundel
Juniors lost 2-4. Kaden Hahn and Joshua Tanser won their games
Seniors won 5-1. Victorious players were Ethan Hinds, Takudzwa Moga, Tinashe Zireva, Elijah Mupangavanhu and Matthew Gratwicke.
DEBATE
6th & 7th June: ATS Junior Debate Competition
PHB debated in 4 rounds, winning 2 and losing 2 debates:
- Round 1, PHB lost to Girls College, Bulawayo by 2.5 points
- Round 2 PHB won against PHG by 4 points
- Round 3 PHB won against Dominican Convent, Bulawayo by 6 points
- Round 4 PHB lost to Hillcrest by 5 points
Well done to:
- Simbarashe Mutevhe – 22 out of 77 speakers
- Washe Shumba – 29 out of 77
- Kudakwashe Chifamba – 44 out 77
- Adrian Mudekunye is commended for captaining the team, and thanks to Mr Chinyanga for managing the team.
Overall, PHB was ranked 9th out of 16 ATS Schools in the junior debate.
INTERACT
Visit to Musha we Vana – Thursday 5th June The Interact Club visited Musha Wevana Children’s Home in Nyameni. The boys and girls donated clothes, sugar and cooking oil. They served the children biscuits and sweets, played games, sang and prayed with them. Our thanks to you, the PH pupils, for your donations and support of Interact fundraising programmes.
