Back in 1985 Peterhouse had just two computers. They were a very precious commodity and only boys in the Computer Club, who had scrambled fast enough to sign up, had access to them. They were kept locked away in a staff study and for some, the technology was either exciting, or intimidating – some staff hoped they’d go away in time – a new fad and all that!

Fast forward 37 years and we can hardly imagine a world without computers.

The Peterhouse Group now has 8 full computer labs to accommodate classes of 20- 25 pupils at a time. There are desktops, laptops, iPads and devices with every pupil connected in some way or another.

Imagine the world in another 30 years’ time!
